Call in gru. Conscripts in the GRU special forces: comparative characteristics. Salary

In the elite military branches and special forces, the requirements for recruits - both physical and everyone else - are at the highest level. To get into the special forces it is necessary to have a certain set of qualities that it would be nice to educate in yourself even before the draft age or the opportunity to join the army. Airborne The airborne troops of the Russian Federation are one of those branches of the army where they know best about traditions, morality and physical strength. Vasily Filippovich Margelov - the legendary founder of the airborne troops, “BATYA” - as the paratroopers themselves call him - at the dawn of the winged infantry, laid down the basic principles and standards for those who sought to serve in the army, capable of passing through Europe in a week. By the mid-80s, the Union had formed 14 separate brigades, two separate regiments and about 20 separate battalions in blue berets. One brigade corresponded to a separate military district, in which a special instructor monitored the physical form of the fighters in each company. The standards for entering the service in the Soviet Airborne Forces were, if not sports, then para-sports, for sure - pulling up 20 times, running 100 meters, marathon running 10 kilometers, push-ups - at least 50 times. The morning hour of the physical training of the Soviet paratroopers generally differed from almost all military branches - there were also jumps, and jumps with a 360-degree turn, pull-ups, and, of course, push-ups. In the Russian army under the Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu, the Soviet direction of physical training of paratroopers began to grow qualitatively . The requirements for entering the service in the airborne troops of Russia, although slightly more lenient than in the Soviet Union, are only the minimum set in order to get a pass and the opportunity to serve in the ranks of the country's best conscripts. To get to serve in the Airborne Forces, you must have weight from 75 to 85 kg and height from 175 to 190 centimeters. If growth is a value that cannot be influenced, then it is advisable to lose weight with a strong desire to serve in the Airborne Forces. Such strict criteria for selection are determined by the specifics of the service, because most of the special forces are selected with the wording “Suitable for service in the airborne troops”. General health is no less important factor that directly affects whether the conscript will be in the Airborne Forces or not. Smoking, heart disease, addiction to alcohol - all this should be deprived of the conscript in principle, so that the draft board does not have questions during the examination . The heaviest physical activities for people who smoke and have bad habits in general, according to the military, are categorically contraindicated. Special attention is paid to vision in the Airborne Forces - even a slight deterioration in it can become a reason for refusing to enlist troops. In addition to almost absolute health, even after a conscript is enlisted in the Airborne Forces, it is also necessary to have endurance, since about 20% of conscripts, after enlistment, can’t cope with standard loads and can be sent to serve in other branches of the armed forces. Marines"Marines" - one of the most trained and physically strong guys in Russia. Interspecific competitions, military shows and other events where it is necessary to show the level of physical strength, traditionally cannot do without representatives of the marine corps. In addition to the general physical "fortress", a potential "marines" must have: height from 175 cm, weight up to 80 kg, not consist registered in psychiatric, narcological and other dispensaries both at the place of registration and at the place of residence, and it is also desirable to have one of the sports categories. The rule of sporting achievements also works in the Airborne Forces, however, according to the established tradition, it is in the Marine Corps that drafted athletes are given increased attention and entrusted with the most responsible tasks. "The essence of this tactic is that the drafted athlete does not need to instill and instill a sense of responsibility, discipline . Athletes with serious achievements, as a rule, are already disciplined people and they don’t need additional motivation in this regard, ”Viktor Kalanchin, deputy head of the draft board of one of the capital’s military commissariats told Zvezda. It’s also in the marine corps with special attention apply to conscripts with certain technical knowledge: radio engineering, electronics, computing devices. Such qualities help to prepare for a military specialty right during military service and subsequently give serious help when enrolling in the contract. As for the physical requirements necessary for service in the Russian Marine Corps, everything is simple - excellent health in category A. the ability to pull up at least 10-12 times and the absence of chronic diseases. The rest, according to the military, will be consistently and diligently brought up in the conscript. Special Forces For people performing special tasks and requirements are special. It should be remembered, however, that special forces, whatever it may be, are not combined arms training, but hard and daily work, which not everyone can cope with. However, it is precisely with the proposal to serve in the special forces that are called up to the recruits after, and even during the service in the airborne troops or the marines. In any case, according to military commissars, the percentage of recruits from these military branches to the special forces is tall. The rules of standard training (both physical and psychological) in special forces do not work. Here, from every soldier, they make a universal soldier who can do everything and do quality. Running, pull-ups, exhausting march-throws at a distance three times the usual army - all this is present in abundance when preparing the special forces. However, the special forces of the special forces are different and the specifics of each special forces unit are different. Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff and special forces of the FSB stand out among special units: 20, or even all 30 pull-ups, 30 push-ups on bars, a distance of a thousand meters three minutes is far from a complete list of what needs to be done to begin to be considered as a candidate for service in the best Russian special forces. Andrei Vasilyev, instructor of one of the Moscow fast re Aging, in an interview with Zvezda, said that physical activity is the most insignificant thing that people who seek to serve in special forces will face: “In intelligence, in addition to endurance and physical form, mind is also important. Therefore, analytical thinking, the ability to quickly make certain decisions that will allow you to effectively complete the task is no less important than, for example, physical strength. The main attention in such things is given to people who, even before serving in the army, received higher education in some technical specialty. I know for sure that they showed and are showing increased attention. One of the most serious tests for those who want to test their physical and psychological abilities can be an examination for the right to wear a "speckled" beret. It is this insignia of the special forces of the internal troops that is the best proof of the "professional suitability" of a soldier. An exhausting test, which includes an almost marathon march throw, an obstacle course, hand-to-hand combat with an instructor, not all pass. According to statistics, only 20-30% of examinees pass the test. Contrary to popular belief, the test for the right to wear a "speckled" test does not end on physical exertion. The basics of shooting skills against the background of severe fatigue, the basics of storming a building using special equipment, high-speed shooting - all this is included in the mandatory test list for those who want to devote their lives to special forces. The set of rules, both for army units and for special forces, speaks about one thing - service for the good of the Fatherland is not a vacation. It is hard, difficult and truly male work, requiring absolute physical health and serious mental abilities. It is the combination of these qualities that allows yesterday’s ordinary guys to join the elite troops, and those who have served or serve can improve their professional skills and move up the ladder of military service.

Using the example of his own service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus (Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus), the author would like to tell how recruiting is carried out in special forces — all the more so since such a system remains relevant for most countries of the post-Soviet space.

Special forces take a position. A soldier in the foreground is armed with a modernized Kalashnikov machine gun (PKM)

In Belarus, there are two types of special forces (Special Forces), where military servicemen are recruited - these are the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Special Forces of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Between them there are significant differences in tasks and application features, there are also small nuances in the selection of recruits. It is advisable for a draftee to determine in advance which particular troops he would like to serve - detailed information on this subject can be easily found on the Internet. This article focuses on the selection criteria for the Special Forces units of the Armed Forces and what skills a recruit will need to serve in them.

First of all, you should check with the military commissioner in advance whether there will be “merchants” from these units at your recruiting station. If yes, then you are lucky, and half the work has already been done. Otherwise, you will need to negotiate with the military commissar to redirect your documents to another recruiting center - of course, if you have such an opportunity. The main criteria by which recruits are selected are as follows:

  • the lack of drives to the police at the draftee, as well as the criminal record of himself and close relatives;
  • favorable family environment;
  • lack of suicide among relatives;
  • the first group of fitness for health (determined in the military registration and enlistment office when passing the medical commission);
  • height 165–185 cm. This requirement is due to the characteristics of the parachute system and is relevant only for units of special forces of the Ministry of Defense; it does not apply to units of special forces of the explosive;
  • good physical fitness.

In addition, the presence of sports ranks is encouraged. The end of military-patriotic classes will also go only as a plus, as well as the presence of positive characteristics from places of study and work. According to the results of tests conducted in advance at the military registration and enlistment office, the degree of mental development and psychological stability of a potential commando is determined. An individual conversation also assesses attitudes toward smoking, alcohol and drugs.

   Demonstration of the strength and endurance of the soldiers of the brigade of the Special Forces

Next, you need to touch on the features of the service and skills that will be useful to everyone in the service in the units of the SP of the Ministry of Defense. The first thing you will encounter after quarantine and distribution among departments is the abundance of training sessions and material that will need to be learned, memorized and summarized. In the future, the training will become practical, but the study will continue throughout the service.

As for physical training, it is advisable to do the main emphasis on endurance training - service in such units involves performing tasks after long and tiring transitions. To increase endurance, athletics or biathlon are well suited, but power sports should also not be excluded - in the special forces of the explosives, due to other specifics, they are even preferable.

Finally, get ready for great psycho-emotional stress and broken knuckles. In any units of the Special Forces, as well as in the airborne troops, it is customary to push up on fists. This happens on any surface - whether it be the wooden floor of the barracks or the asphalt pavement on the parade ground. Those wishing to serve in the special forces should prepare their fists in advance for such a test.

   Demonstration jump of a soldier of the SPb brigade with a parachute

Service in the units of the Special Forces of the Ministry of Defense involves parachuting. Those who are afraid of heights should remember that being on board an airplane or a helicopter, there are very few chances to get out of it without making a jump. The jump will be preceded by multi-day training, which is fundamentally different from that held at DOSAAF clubs. In these classes you will be taught to independently lay the parachute, they will achieve confident actions when completing the jump - from the moment you put on the parachute to the landing. One way or another, skydiving will remain in your memory forever, and the right reward will be the ability to wear a vest and a blue beret.

It is necessary to touch upon such a question as hazing, allegedly existing in special forces. Contrary to popular belief, in all the units of the Special Forces, especially for the Special Forces brigades, be it the Defense Forces or the explosives, the level of discipline is a cut above that of other troops.

The combat training in the SPN units is very intense. So, for example, in the 5th separate spetsnaz brigade, shooting lessons are held once a week (day and night), once every six months - demolition work with the practical manufacture and detonation of charges and mines, parachute jumps, not to mention private exercises. They are associated with a risk to life and, by default, assume the presence of a large volume of firmly assimilated knowledge. The specifics of the work of reconnaissance spetsnaz groups is that they operate in isolation from the main forces. No one but themselves will help them. The success of the task depends entirely on the knowledge, skills and abilities of the fighter, and this knowledge remains with the commandos for a long time.

   Demonstration performance of a special forces soldier with a sword

Thanks to personal experience, the author described in more detail the service in the units of the Special Forces of the Ministry of Defense, but no less worthy people serve in the special forces of the explosives. They also perform tasks related to the risk to life. And what kind of guy would not like to become the owner of a maroon beret, a symbol of the elite of the special forces of VV?

The romance of military service in the units of Special Forces is not an easy job, which not everyone can stand. But if you understand that special forces are your mission, then you can continue to serve under the contract. So, for example, in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus there are Special Forces detachments where they serve only on a contractual basis, followed by training in the school of ensigns, if you are an ordinary or a sergeant, and assigning an officer rank when acquiring higher education. The requirements for training in such units are much higher than in soldier units. The Internal Troops (MVD) have their own elite units, such as SOBR and Almaz, and not even every special forces can serve in their ranks.

In the end, I would like to wish all aspirants to enlist in the SPN units for patience and endurance, since the main role in it is played by high moral and volitional qualities.

In connection with appeals about the possibility of serving in Alpha, Vympel, and the regional units of the anti-terror, we are posting this information, which will allow us to remove the initial typical questions and really assess our physical and psychological capabilities.

Primary selection

The selection system in the anti-terror special forces is carried out in several stages. As a rule, officers and warrant officers, as well as cadets of military schools, are selected as candidates for officer posts for service in the special units of the Special Forces Center of the FSB of Russia.

97% of the positions in the special forces are officer posts, and only 3% are the positions of warrant officers. Accordingly, the officer must have a higher education, the ensign - not lower than secondary. Warrant officers are usually appointed as drivers and instructors.

First, a candidate for special forces should be recommended either by an active employee of the Center for Special Operations, or a veteran who previously served in Alpha, Vympel, or Office C. Selection is also carried out from cadets of universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation or from border institutions of the FSB.

Preference is given to those who are already studying at the faculty of special forces, which is in the Novosibirsk Higher Combined Arms Command School. The selection of children from Moscow VOKU is also being carried out. Employees of the Center regularly come to all these educational institutions and carry out initial selection. First, the personal files of cadets are studied, and then potential candidates are interviewed.

For candidates, there is one serious limitation on physical data - height should be at least 175 cm. This is due to the fact that employees often use heavy armor plates of impressive size in operations. For undersized employees, these protective equipment drag on the ground.

An exception can be made for a candidate whose professional advantages outweigh the lack of growth and can be used during a special operation when penetrating into the hatches of an aircraft (as an example).

Another limitation is age. Candidate must be at least 28 years old. True, an exception can be made for those who come to SPF from other power structures and have combat experience.

Physical testing

Physical testing is divided into two stages, which take place on the same day. During the first, candidates pass standards for physical fitness, followed by sparring in hand-to-hand combat.

The candidate arrives at the "facility", changes into sportswear for the season. He must run a distance of three kilometers in 10 minutes and 30 seconds. After the finish, he is given 5 minutes to rest, and then follows a check of his sprinting qualities in overcoming hundred-meter time. The test result is about 12 seconds.

Then, with a light run, you need to go to the gym, where the candidate expects the crossbar. The candidate for the Office “A” must catch up 25 times, for the Office “B” - 20. Hereinafter, after each exercise, 3 minutes of rest between exercises are given.

Next, you need to complete 90 minutes of flexion and extension of the body in two minutes. This is followed by push-ups from the floor. The test for Office “A” is 90 times, for Office “B” - 75. Sometimes push-ups from the floor can be replaced by push-ups on the uneven bars. In this case, the required amount is 30 times.

The execution time is not strictly limited, but the candidate is not allowed to rest during the execution. Also, they strictly monitor how the exercise is performed. If, in the opinion of the receiving employee, the candidate does not clearly perform an exercise, it does not count towards him.

After this, the candidate is invited to perform a complex strength exercise. For "A" and "B" - 7 and 5 times, respectively. The complex exercise includes 15 push-ups from the floor, 15 flexion and extension of the body (checking the abdominal press), then 15 times the transition from the "stop crouching" to the "lying support" and back, then 15 jumps from the "crouching" position up.

Each exercise is given 10 seconds. The described cycle is a single execution of a complex exercise. There is no rest pause between each exercise. Sometimes in Office “A” it is proposed to perform an endurance test - jump up 100 times.

Hand-to-hand combat

After completing physical testing, the candidate rests for 3 minutes, after which, putting on protection on his legs, on his groin, a helmet on his head, on his hands in gloves, he goes out on the wrestling carpet. The rival of the candidate is an instructor or a well-trained employee. At the same time, the weight category of the candidate is not taken into account, and against him, weighing, for example, 75 kilograms, an employee weighing under 100 kg may come out. The fight consists of three rounds.

The candidate is required to be active in the ring; passive defense is not welcome. It is very difficult to do this, given the loads that the candidate overcame during physical tests. Against him is a completely fresh employee. Here, first of all, fighting qualities, the ability to attack, the ability to hold a blow and, of course, the will are checked. There were times when the masters of sports did not stand in the ring, and the guys who did not have any serious sports titles, on the contrary, stubbornly attacked and rushed to the enemy.

To some extent, the stage of hand-to-hand combat resembles a similar phase of the candidate examination during the exam for obtaining a maroon beret. True, it must be said that in TsSN they approach the audit more carefully, not trying to score a candidate. The instructor often allows the candidate to work on his own, to take the initiative in order to understand what he can do at all. Although there were cases when hands and noses were broken during sparring. Sometimes, to test the ability to beat with arms and legs, the candidate is allowed to work on a bag.

This completes the test phase. Preference is given to candidates with merit in martial arts, as well as in boxing and wrestling. Although they take runners.

If the candidate for special forces comes from other units of the Special Purpose Center, additional requirements may be presented to him. There should be a test of shooting skills or the ability to swim (100 meters for a while and 25 meters under water without any equipment).

Special check

This is followed by the so-called special check, during which even all relatives are thoroughly checked. While this process is going on, the candidate undergoes an initial examination by a psychologist, who, using tests, examines the personality of the subject, his character, temperament, moral attitudes, etc. During the interview, the psychologist also tries to identify the personality characteristics of the candidate, clarifies for himself some unclear points. It happens that candidates do not say anything or lie.

Based on the results of the initial selection, the psychologist compiles the psychological profile of the candidate. She is filed in the case of special checks. This document is necessary for the future boss to understand what kind of person came to serve in the unit.

Then the candidate undergoes an in-depth medical examination, during which his suitability for airborne training is revealed. Here he is also waiting for a mandatory polygraph test.

A polygraph (aka “lie detector”) is intended, first of all, to identify “dark spots of a biography”, such as addiction to alcohol and drugs, connections with the underworld, corruption incentives, asocial tendencies and other aspects.

Based on the results of the survey, a certificate is drawn up. The candidate’s assessment is made in points, which gives a visible picture of how successfully he passed the test. For example, the total number of possible points for physical fitness is 900. The minimum number of points from which a candidate is considered to be enrolled in the SPE is 700. The average passing score is 800.

Family conversation

After the candidate is recognized as having successfully passed the screening tests and his verification, an interview with his parents and his wife is mandatory. During the conversation, he explains the nature and features of the service in special forces.

The result of this interview should be the written consent of the parents and wife with the receipt of the candidate for service in the special unit. Such a procedure is primarily associated with the fact that special forces perform tasks with an increased risk to life.

If the candidate has successfully completed all stages and relatives are not opposed to his service at the Center for Specialists, he is enlisted in the special forces as a young employee. Those undergo a ritual of initiation with the delivery of black berets and special knives "Antiterror", which are officially adopted by the special forces. They are also presented with gifts from the International Association of Veterans of the Anti-Terror Unit Alpha (watches).

If the selected candidate does not show his best, he can be expelled from the special forces.

Further preparation

In September-October, the Center conducts a training course for young employees, during which they are engaged in mountain and airborne training and other special disciplines. By the way, absolutely all combat control officers jump with a parachute.

Upon completion of this stage, young employees return to their units, where they are trained as part of the units for three years. Already there is a division into regular and non-staff positions.

Specialization training is a separate program that requires a long time and perseverance of an employee to become a true professional in his field. At the end of each year, a check is carried out on the professional qualities and physical training of all Center employees.

If young employees are taken on combat missions, then only to perform some kind of supporting functions. Only those who have served in the unit for at least two years, or employees who previously had combat experience, take part in special operations.

There is an unwritten rule in the Center that after being admitted to special forces, an employee must serve in it for at least five years. This is exactly the period that is necessary for the preparation of a classy “action movie” of anti-terror. The vast majority continues to serve further.

Content of the article:

All the last years, before the collapse of the Soviet Union, were the most difficult times for the army, including for special forces. The ongoing reforms and reorganizations have caused enormous damage to the Russian troops, including the special forces. All the damage that had to be overcome cannot be compared with the damage even during the war in Afghanistan and military operations on the territory of Chechnya.

Even upon the return of troops from Afghanistan, part of the military appointments returned to their former place of deployment. Although some of the troops still underwent reorganization. From time to time, troops took part in various clashes. Special forces and troops of the Russian Federation took part in the liquidation of the uprising in Baku, were sent to help in the liquidation of the unrest in Ossetia, the uprising known as the Ossetian-Ingush conflict. The brigades of the Russian troops and special forces took part in the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, in Ossetia, Estonia. But since the beginning of 1992, special forces brigades were withdrawn from the territories and disbanded.

Special Forces

In the same code, the Special Forces of the Pechersk troops were disbanded. And with the collapse of the Soviet Union, special forces were introduced into the armed forces of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. So in Ukraine remained 8-9-10 special forces brigades. At the same time, one regiment was disbanded and included in the landing regiment. 5 brigade of special forces joined Belarus. 15 Special Forces Brigade and 459 Special Forces Company left for Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the first GRU special forces brigades appeared. The exact date of the appearance of the GRU was carefully hidden from the CIA. Partly this happened because of fears of disclosing classified information, in particular, issues related to the reform of special forces.

There are several types of military formations, the soldiers of which undergo the same procedures as the soldiers of the special forces. Although they may not be part of the GRU system, they may well refer to the structure of the FSB and the departments of the Airborne Forces, Navy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, GUIN.

How to get to contract service in the Russian army in special forces (GRU, Navy) in 2017-2018 in parts of Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Stepnoy?

For this, first of all, you need to go through the initial selection. The fact that special forces is the dream of most boys is a fact. After all, these are not just troops. Here, all warriors are distinguished by dexterity, fearlessness, sometimes it seems that they are people with unique capabilities that can do everything. Frankly speaking, joining the ranks of the special forces is very difficult. And sometimes it seems almost impossible.

The main condition by which they can only accept a candidate for consideration, as a candidate for the ranks of special forces, is the passage of military service. That is, if the young man did not serve in the army, then the idea can be abandoned. Without military service in the army, no one will even accept documents for consideration of candidates to serve under the contract in the special forces of the GRU and Navy.

In addition, only those who have the rank of officer or the rank of ensign, higher education and a suitable age are hired by the contract. A person who has expressed a desire to join the special forces should have:

  2. The rank of ensign or officer;
  3. Higher education;
  4. Age not older than 28 years;

In this case, the entire complex of exercises should be repeated at least seven times.

  1. This also includes hand-to-hand combat, as one of the types of passing the standard;
  2. Full medical examination;
  3. Lie detector test.

In addition, before becoming one of the commandos, after passing all the standards, full compliance with education, rank, age and growth, all close relatives are thoroughly checked for a criminal record, permission is consent from relatives, in particular this is permission from parents, in which consent is given to serve the candidate in this form of special forces.

For those who wish to join the GRU special forces, one must begin to prepare for service in the special forces from childhood. This is a constant exercise, hardening, nurturing the strength of mind.

From the first minutes of service, the soldier is impressed that he is the best, the most courageous, and so on. Most trainers believe that how a soldier himself will believe this depends on how much he really will be the best in order to stay in the special unit.

Staying in the barracks from the first days, various tests and checks are arranged in relation to the soldier. This helps foster alertness and fortitude. Very often, guys have to face an unequal opponent in battle. This is also one of the options for special training. So the future commando is undergoing training, which in the future helps him find a way out of any situation and prepares how to behave in the event of a collision with an unequal opponent. Only in this way can a soldier be ready for further service in the ranks of special forces.

Every six months, in a contract service in the Russian army in special forces (GRU, Navy) in 2017-2018 in parts of Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Stepnoy, a soldier is tested for readiness. The future soldier should be prepared for the fact that he can be left without food and water in an unfamiliar place for a whole week. Future commandos are constantly busy. They are always in motion.

Thanks to this method of preparation, many young people can’t stand it and leave the idea to join the ranks of special forces. Contractors train daily. They have no days off and holidays. Mandatory is:

  1. Daily ten-kilometer run with a load of at least 50 kilograms;
  2. Upon arrival at the unit, a mandatory forty-minute training is carried out;
  3. Push ups;
  4. Jumping

In addition, each exercise is repeated up to 30 times. At the end of the warm-up, the fighters pump the press and train every day, comprehending the basics of hand-to-hand combat. They practice blows, cultivate dexterity, endurance. To prepare for contract service in the Russian army in special forces (GRU, Navy) in 2017-2018 in parts of Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Stepny is a very difficult job, a great desire and a huge daily work.

Video: Special Forces Contract Service

How to get into the GRU special forces? This question does not allow many boys to sleep in peace, who dream of becoming on a par with men in military uniforms. The guys are interested in what they should prepare themselves for, what qualities must be developed for entering intelligence.

Would you like to know how to get to serve in the GRU? Then read the rest of this article. But just say that you should not look for easy ways and hope for concessions. Service in intelligence is a very serious matter. The main enemy on the way to your dream will be banal laziness, and hard work will be an ally.

History

The Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) has its history since 1918. In the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the GRU is engaged in all types of reconnaissance - electronic, space and undercover. The budget and size of the organization are classified.

The GRU special forces (how to get there - read below) was created in 1950. The administration was assigned several main tasks: reconnaissance in the rear of the enemy, the destruction of terrorists, sabotage and counterintelligence. GRU special forces had a huge impact on the course of the Afghan and Chechen wars. At present, the GRU is the most closed and probably the most combat-ready unit of the Russian army.

How to get into the GRU?

The most important thing to do is to serve in the army. Otherwise, the way to the special forces is closed. And if you want to get into the GRU, you will have to achieve certain successes in the service. Sometimes when entering this unit they require a maroon beret. Check out the basic requirements for a candidate for service in the GRU.

Primary requirements

  1. Warrant officers or officers are taken to special forces. The former should have at least a secondary education, and the latter should have a higher education.
  2. Preference is given to candidates undergoing (or past) training at the special forces faculty.
  3. The growth of the applicant should be at least 175 centimeters. However, the lack of this parameter can be compensated by some professional qualities.
  4. The age of the candidate is no more than 28 years. Separately considered are fighters who want to transfer from other units.
  5. A huge plus will be the recommendation of the paratrooper, who served in the GRU.

Five main qualities of the commando. Caution

Intelligence has the right to select soldiers from any army unit. The very first question asked of the candidates: “Why are you going to the special forces?” Applicants who do not know how to get into the GRU most often answer: “To become a Hero of Russia!” These do not qualify. Of course, they will become heroes, but posthumously. At the same time, they will take the lives of their colleagues. Recklessness, of course, is needed, but only if the enemy pressed you to the wall. Then you can take the machine and shouting "Hurray!" run to the enemy. Victory, from the point of view of the GRU special forces, is if you obeyed the order and returned alive.

When a soldier enters the special forces, from the first days they put an installation in his head: “You are the coolest!” This is an important feature of psychological preparation. And you need to believe in it! If you can’t believe it, you can forget about what the GRU special forces are, how to get to serve in this department, etc. You will simply be transferred to ordinary infantry.

The paratrooper runs and shoots around the clock. At the same time, he is periodically beaten stealthily. But do not confuse this with hazing. Commanders specifically make enemy territory out of barracks. They can come up and give a crack, throw a noose around the neck or mine a bed. All this is done with one purpose: to force the commandos to remain in a state of constant combat readiness. After six months of service, the soldier "grows" on the back of his head, and he sleeps so sensitively that he wakes up from one look in his direction.

Endurance

Advice on how to get into the GRU special forces, successfully pass the selection and interview, etc., will be useless if the soldier does not differ in endurance. After all, his feet help the paratrooper to survive. Why? Because if the reconnaissance group is spotted, it will be caught up and destroyed in about 6 hours. When the commando is exhausted and can no longer escape, he remains in place to cover his comrades.

Endurance will be needed in the learning process. Indeed, in the first month, a fighter is allowed to sleep only 4 hours a day. The remaining 20 he works hard. Get up at 6 in the morning, then water procedures, stretching exercises and jogging with a satchel behind his back. During the run, the commander can give additional tasks: shooting, go to the goose step, crawling, etc. After a run - hand-to-hand combat, physical training and training on battle tactics. And so every day.

In the GRU special forces, the stability of the psyche and the endurance of a soldier are checked "at the races". It looks like this. A group of soldiers sent to the forest for a week without provisions. Commanders periodically chase this group, preventing anyone from sleeping. This continues until vomiting, loss of consciousness and other unimportant things. All those who did not pass the test are sent to combat troops. A lot of people are eliminated. Horse races are held every 6 months and are a kind of “lice” exam.

Determination

He practices very well during hand-to-hand combat. A soldier is put on defense and a stronger opponent is placed against him. So the determination to go all the way is formed and the fighting character is tempered. And this is not a banal beating. The paratrooper is given the opportunity to defend themselves. Anyone who does not do this and surrenders is sent to serve in other troops.

Decisiveness is also trained with a range of “boldness exercises”. For example, they launch a large rat into the wash basin and close the naked soldier with it. A fighter must strangle her. Experienced commandos know: when a rat has nowhere to go, it attacks, and this is a real "tin". As a result, if the paratrooper can nail a rat with his bare hands, then no man will be afraid of him.

Aggression

Aggression is one of the main qualities of the commando. A soldier should be afraid of a sergeant (who, by the way, knows exactly how to get into the GRU) is much stronger than the enemy, and run to the enemy with a clear desire to completely destroy him. Hand-to-hand training fights are not complete without blood. Sergeants specifically injure soldiers. This is done so that they get used to the type of blood and get angry. As a soundtrack, the commander’s mat is added. Under the conditions of such severe pressure, the feelings of a fighter are aggravated to such an extent that all the knowledge gained by him during the training period will remain with him until the end of his life.

Cleanliness

People who know how to get into the GRU intelligence will confirm paranoia among the commandos regarding personal hygiene. Since the fighters are very often outside the station, they must be able to keep themselves clean under any conditions. Every commando who arrives at the location must immediately change clothes and wash his uniform.

Training Principles

Most of the time, the paratrooper is far from places of constant deployment. Therefore, his physical training is to learn how to skillfully use any improvised means during training. The most important thing is the preservation of strength and endurance. The latter is very useful when hiking in the mountains or bike ride.

Training is held on a daily basis. And not for the standard six or eight weeks. You need to work at least a year. There is no special diet. You just need to eat as much as possible.

The four pillars of fighter training. Crawls and jogs

Every day you need to run 10 kilometers. Sometimes on Sundays they organize a "sports festival" - a run of 40 kilometers. Ten kilometers a fighter must run in less than 60 minutes. At the same time, he is fully equipped (an additional 50 kilograms!). Running alternates with crawls. Such exercises work well for ligaments and small muscle groups. There are three types of crawls: on the back, in a plastopodnom and movement on the minefield (the soldier crawls and feels irregularities; if something causes suspicion, then he moves to the side).

Circular training

It has long been proven that GRU special forces training in a circular type increases the strength of a soldier to the maximum level. This principle was taken from the Soviet school of sambo and boxing. Circular training contributes to the development of explosive strength and endurance. She also “dries” and raises malice (hatred) to the authorities. The number of repetitions of any exercise will depend on the mood of the sergeant.

In general, the GRU standard circular training session lasts 40 minutes. After the aforementioned 10-kilometer run, a five-minute rest follows, and then 5-6 laps of exercises are performed. And they need to be carried out one after another without a break. And only after completing a full circle you can relax for 5 minutes.

The circle itself looks like this:

  • Jump - jumping from a sitting position with cotton (10 times).
  • Push-ups on the fingers (20 times).
  • Jump (10 times).
  • Push-ups on fists (30 times).
  • Jump (10 times).
  • Push-ups on the fingers (5 times).

After completing the circle, the press sways to failure, and only then does a break take place. If desired, throwing stones is included in the training.

Constant load

Candidates who know how to get into the GRU special forces understand the importance of the daily workload in the army. That is, each fighter must perform a certain amount (constantly increasing) of lifting to the press, pull-ups, push-ups with his fists, etc. If you can’t do this in one training session, you need to collect the necessary amount for the day. This is expressed in constant combat readiness. In addition, exercises with a belt (isometry) are performed throughout the day according to the A. Zass system.

Hand-to-hand combat

  • Hands. Side and direct blows are the same as in boxing. But the second is very difficult to train. Only direct commandos with long experience have a strong direct strike. Since at times the training of a fighter is accelerated, there are no restrictions in the striking technique. You can beat from any angle and position. Moreover, the first blow is desirable to inflict on the throat of the enemy. In close combat, you must fight with your elbows. The knockout force of the blow is trained using exercises with a sledgehammer (on a dug or lying tire, a fighter strikes with an iron sledgehammer in three directions: right, left and top).
  • Legs. There is no special technique. It all comes down to a strong blow in the groin. Do not forget - this is not a sports ground.
  • Head. Turn on the head in close combat. We beat the frontal part exclusively in the nose. If the enemy grabbed you from behind, then hit him in the head with a nape.
  • Stall. Just for this, the fighters train strength and grip. After the enemy, due to the strength of your hands, is knocked to the ground, you need to finish him off with a blow to the back of the head or step on the throat.

Conclusion

Now you know how to get into the GRU. From what has been read above, it becomes clear that this is difficult not only from a moral, but also from a physical point of view. You need to have excellent health and excellent physical shape. In addition, you must have a stable psyche. The main thing is to decide on your main life goal. If this is a special forces service, then take action to achieve it.

Do not forget the importance of sports. They should be engaged from a school bench. Higher education is best obtained in specialized institutions where there is a special forces faculty. This will significantly increase your chances of selection.

We hope that the article turned out to be useful, and you will no longer be wondering: “How do you get into special forces?” The GRU special forces belongs to the category of elite troops, and in order to be there, you will have to make a lot of efforts. So go ahead. All in your hands!
