How to enroll a child in school through the public service website

Secondary education in Russia is compulsory, therefore, upon reaching the age of 6-8, the child must enter the primary school of a general education institution. On the portal of the State Services, it is possible to apply for enrollment online. However, once the application is approved, the parent must come to the school in person. Also, in case of problems with filing an application via the Internet, all issues are resolved during a personal visit to a general education institution.

Any parent (father or mother), as well as a guardian, can order the service and apply online. Only verified users can apply for the State Services. After authorization in your personal account, you must sequentially select the following sections:

• Service catalog;

• Education;

• Enrollment in a general educational institution.

• And in the next step, select the item "Enroll in an educational institution."

• Then click on "Get Service".

This service is not available for all regions in electronic form on the State Services portal. For some areas, submission of applications is carried out only through regional portals. In other cases, the application is submitted personally.

After choosing an electronic school enrollment service, the parent needs to fill out an application. To do this, you must fill out a questionnaire with standard information:

• Personal and passport data of the applicant;
• residential address;
• Information about the future first-grader from the birth certificate;
• The number of the school where the child is enrolled;
• What year is it planned to enter the first grade (here, the option of the current year or the next is acceptable).

There are also fields with the ability to specify a parallel and specialization, but these are not mandatory columns. The choice of parallel for most parents does not matter, and specialized classes are not available in all schools or appear in high school.

After sending the application, the parent must wait for a notification from the school. If you fill out the form correctly, approval will come in a couple of days. If the result is positive, the parent must come to the school.

List of required documents

Before a personal visit to the school, it is recommended to call the educational institution to clarify information on the documents. Documents for enrolling a child is not a single list of documents for all regions. Even within the same city, schools have the right to request additional certificates and extracts. The standard set includes:

• Parent's passport;
• Birth certificate of the child;
• Medical card with information about the child's health, vaccinations, and so on;
• Certificate from a child psychologist with approval of admission to the first grade.

In addition, schools most often request compulsory medical insurance and a photograph. In some cases, parents are required to provide their own birth certificates. A certificate from a child psychologist can be replaced by a neurologist's report. You also need to bring an application to the school for admission of the child to the first grade. It can be done right on the spot. In addition to the main application, you may be required to fill out a questionnaire on the issued form.

Please note that while attending kindergarten is not a requirement, many schools only accept children from preschools under their jurisdiction. As confirmation of this fact, the school asks for a testimonial for the child from the teachers of the kindergarten that he attended.

Since the list of documents for admission to the school was not approved by law, the requirement of additional documents is not considered a violation of rights. In the absence of the required documents, for example, CHI or SNILS, the parent can issue them or discuss with the school management the possibility of their absence. Enrolling a child in school through Moscow State Services Mos.ru

For some regions, enrolling a child in first grade is available through regional portals. For residents of Moscow, this is Mos.ru, the official website of the Mayor of Moscow. The algorithm of actions roughly coincides with how the registration takes place on the federal portal of the State Service.

After logging in, you need to go through the branches:

• Services;

• Education;

• Average total;

• Registration in the 1st class.
