Why it's important to turn off your ad blocker on your favorite sites

There are several, and each has several ad blocking extensions. It usually takes only 2 clicks to disable them for a particular site. At the end of the article I will talk about my vision of the problem of "ads cutter".

Yandex browser

There is a built-in Adguard here, but it can be enabled or disabled only for all sites. Therefore, many use the same extensions as for Chrome. Actions are the same as in chrome. If it is the built-in Adguard that is enabled, then here is how to disable it (temporarily or permanently):

Here we go down below, to this point:

Google Chrome

The built-in blocking feature in Chrome only works for aggressive ad formats, so people use special extensions.

To disable the blocker on the site that you currently have open, left-click here:

After two simple clicks, you will see that Adblock Plus is disabled for the current site:

Click on the extension icon and select "Don't run on pages on this domain".

uBlock Origin

By the add-on icon and by the large "On / Off" button.

Adguard Anti-banner

Switch the "Filtering on this site" switch to the "Off" position.

Opera

The situation is the same as with the Yandex browser. The built-in banner cutter, however, allows you to add exceptions, but there are a lot of unnecessary movements. Therefore, we do the same - turn it off and put another extension. How to disable:

Uncheck here:

Mozilla Firefox

Everything here is like in chrome. There is no built-in ad blocker, and it is also disabled in installed extensions: click on the icon in the upper right and click so that the adblock does not work on the current site. For example, as in Adblock Ultimate:

Why you need to turn off ad blockers on some sites

Where did it all begin? And from the fact that unscrupulous webmasters began to decorate sites with advertisements like a Christmas tree with garlands! Pop-up windows, flickering pictures, self-playing video, loud sound, annoying and repetitive ads in the video became especially annoying. Websites are now unusable!

It is clear that the first desire is to disable all advertising on the Internet. And I myself am. But there is another side of the issue - normal sites with unobtrusive advertising. This is how blockers are arranged - that they cut out everything at once.

I think I will not reveal the secret that 90% of sites exist and develop only due to ad blocks. And if there is no income, then development will stop. No effort will be invested in creating new content and updating existing ones. Not to mention the overhead to maintain projects. Today, ads are blocked up to 50% of users!

Now the situation is not so deplorable yet, so the projects are still moving and working. But, I know this for sure, every day tens and hundreds of sites cease to exist. You yourself, I think, have already noticed more than once when, by clicking on a link from a search, you get to a closed site. And these are only those that the search engine has not yet noticed that they have closed, and has not been removed from the search.

Mostly small sites are dying, but even the largest publications are sounding the alarm. But large projects can afford to earn in other ways. However, everything goes to the fact that all links from the search will lead to vk, facebook and other aggregators of information from visitors.

And, I think, it is possible not to tell what quality this information is. How often did you manage to solve a problem by hitting someone's post or comment on social networks, or on a site like "there is an answer to any question"?

But those who really share their experience on their website, in detail, with pictures, will be few. Globalization

What am I leading to

Increasingly, there is an ad on the site or a request to turn off the ad blocker. If a site is useful to me, then I always do it. I ask you, dear reader, to join the community of loyal visitors
