And now we go north and get into an amazing country - the Netherlands, it is also called Holland. It borders with Germany, in the south with Belgium, in the north and west it is washed by the North Sea. The official language is Dutch. At the head of state is the king. The capital is Amsterdam. The proverb says: "God created the sea, and the Dutch - the coast." Residents built tall embankments to protect against floods. Translated, the Netherlands means "low land". And Amsterdam is called the “Venice of the North”, it has 50 canals. Sightseeing: Royal Palace, ancient monuments - windmills. The Netherlands has become famous all over the world for its cheese, you heard the names "Gouda", "Edam". People in the Netherlands move on bicycles. And this country is called the "country of tulips." Floriculture is the oldest branch of agriculture.

And we end the journey in a tiny state - Luxembourg. It borders with Germany in the east, with Belgium in the northwest. Full name: The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is an independent sovereign state led by a duke. Translated from Old German means "small castle". The capital of the country has the same name - Luxembourg, based on the site of an ancient fortress. In the city center on a high mountain is the Palace of the Grand Duke. Topic: What is Benelux? Lesson research (using ICT - presentation).

Goal:   organize search activities for students to answer the question: "What is Benelux."

Tasks:

organize search activities of students in groups; create conditions for the development of independence, attention, and the ability to defend one’s point of view.

Equipment:   physical and political maps of Europe; slides (presentation) of the studied states; multimedia prefix; a computer.

During the classes.

1. Organizational moment (slide No. 1 ).

Today we have a study lesson. At the end of the study, you will answer the question: what is Benelux? Each of the groups chooses one of three states for themselves (on the desks there are signs, children choose the country depending on the material prepared at home). The request is divided into three groups and take appropriate places.

2. Repetition of the studied (slides No. 2,3).
