The WebMoney system is not banking, but operates with special units of account - title units, which are tied to some of the world's currencies and gold.

From the point of view of jurisprudence, title units are not electronic money, they are financial assets that can be a legal subject of sale, exchange or transfer.

That is why WebMoney is not registered as a payment system in Russia.

This payment system is quite popular in the Russian-speaking Internet segment, as according to the e-Finance User Index, a third of users use it to make various payments.

As noted above, several types of title units are available in the system, which can be transferred within electronic wallets of the same type.

The name of the wallet type consists of 2 parts: the WebMoney abbreviation "WM" and the letter of the name of the currency equivalent.

For example: WME is the equivalent of the euro, WMB is the Belarusian ruble, WMG is 1 gram of gold, WMR is the Kazakh tenge, WMR is the Russian ruble, WMU is the Ukrainian hryvnia, WMZ is the US dollar.

Note! The commission for each transfer is 0.8%, but not less than 0.01WM. No commission is charged for transactions within one passport. Tariffs for replenishment / withdrawal of funds are not set by the WebMoney system, but by the participants in the operations - payment systems, exchange offices, banks.

Each user after registration receives a unique identifier consisting of 12 digits (WMID).

There are no restrictions on the number of WMIDs for one user, and in order to receive subsequent WMIDs, you must register.

All WMIDs belonging to one user are combined into one passport, which, in fact, is a set of passport data and other user information.

The passport is created when the first WMID is registered, and all subsequent WMIDs are attached to it.

Programs for working with WebMoney

To use the WebMoney system, a specially developed WM Keeper software is used, a keeper (from the English keeper - a keeper), which, depending on the tasks being solved, is available in 3 versions: Standard, WinPro, WebPro, and also the version is adapted for use on mobile devices Mobile.

Keeper Standard is aimed at beginners, has basic functions and works from any browser, which allows you to use it on any computer without being tied to the PC operating system.

The disadvantage of this version is the limitation on turnover and balances on wallets.

The other two versions of Keeper WinPro and WebPro are free from this shortcoming and are intended for advanced users.

Keeper WinPro is designed to work with the system by installing special client software, which is available only for Windows OS.

Keeper WebPro is more flexible and allows the client to work with the system through a browser that supports JavaScript and certificates.

Registration in the WebMoney system

Absolutely any new user of the WebMoney system must register through the version of Keeper Mini.

Nothing can be done - these are the rules, so we go to start.webmoney.ru.

Enter your phone number and click Continue.

On this tab, we need to enter passport data.

Pay attention to the "Additional email" field - it may be needed in case of loss of access to the main mailbox specified during registration.

In the Security question field, select any acceptable value.

After entering the data, the system will prompt once again to verify the correctness of the entered information:

We confirm the correctness of the entered data and proceed to verify the specified mailbox. Go to your mailbox and check your inbox.

As a rule, the confirmation code arrives quite quickly (within 1-2 minutes), if the process is delayed, we recommend that you look at the Spam folder where our letter could have been moved by mistake.

Copy the confirmation code in the appropriate field and click "Continue".

After mailbox verification, the validation of the mobile number is checked.

An SMS message with a code will be sent to the phone number that was specified during registration, which must be entered in the appropriate field, and then click "Continue".

This completes the wallet registration procedure.

Within a few minutes, a letter arrives in the mail containing a personal identifier - WMID.

To enter the system as a login, you must enter the e-mail or phone number that was verified when creating an account.
