But what to do if there is no opportunity to regularly visit beauty parlors? It remains to take care of your nails with your own hands, solving problems that have already appeared and preventing the appearance of new ones.

For a long time and firmly, essential oils have taken their positions among the best body care products. For nails, their benefits are also invaluable. For example, essential oils and are excellent fighters against the fungus of the nail plate, and do a good job of exfoliating nails, and the well-known will help accelerate their growth. But in all three cases, nails need strengthening and will help us.

We will talk about the use of lemon oil for nails at home, but the reader should understand that only high-quality essential oils will make nail care procedures effective. Unfortunately, it is hardly possible to find such oils in cosmetics and perfumery stores, as well as in pharmacies, since for the most part this assortment is represented by synthetically obtained oils or oils of very low quality. These aromatic liquids are only good for flavoring the air. We are also interested in the quality that is guaranteed to us by such manufacturing countries as China, Morocco, Brazil and some countries of southeast Asia.

Lemon oil will be a good helper for those who suffer from the appearance of yellowness of the nail plates. This problem can occur in heavy smokers, in women who are very fond of decorative manicure using bright colors, but do not like to use a base coat for colored varnishes. In addition, if you are forced to use cleaning products and detergents often, but are not used to using gloves, then, in addition to brittle and brittle nails, you also risk getting yellowed nails.

To get rid of this problem, you have to:

  • find quality lemon oil for nails;
  • daily give your nails about half an hour of time;
  • temporarily abandon the decorative coating;
  • stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible.

The main procedure for whitening nails will be treating them with any base oil to which you add lemon oil. Immediately determine for yourself how it will be more convenient for you to do this - either prepare a mixture of oils daily, or take 20 ml of any base oil, add 5-6 drops of lemon oil to it and store the composition in a dark glass in a cool place.

Every day before going to bed, you will need to carry out the following actions. Wash your hands well in warm water with soap that does not dry the skin, you can use baby soap. Dry your hands and apply a mixture of oils to each nail. You can do this with your fingers, you will not get a burn from the essential oil.

After application, allow the oil to absorb for a minute, and then begin to massage your fingertips and nails so that the oil is completely absorbed. After the procedure, you do not need to wash your hands - let the oil act all night. In the morning, wash your hands well with the same soap.

This procedure, when performed daily, very quickly removes yellowness from the nails.

Option 2

If the situation is difficult, and the yellowed areas lighten slowly, once every 5 days you can do the following. After you are fully prepared for bed, take lemon oil and use a Q-tip to apply a thin layer only on your nails!

Leave the oil on overnight and wash your hands thoroughly in the morning. Lemon has a strong whitening property, so such drastic measures are extremely rare.

Since essential oils only work to their full potential when dissolved in a carrier oil, you'll also need to stock up on vegetable oils to strengthen your nails. Olive, peach, wheat germ oil and grape seed oil () are well suited for nails.

10 minutes before using the bath, wash your hands well with soap that does not dry or tighten the skin. Heat the base oil by steaming or in a container of hot water. Its temperature must be above body temperature. Add 3-6 drops of lemon oil to the oil and dip your fingertips into the container. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes until the oil cools down.

After completing the soak, massage your fingertips until the oil is absorbed. The rest of the mixture can be removed with a napkin. Daily baths for at least 10 days will strengthen your nails so much that you will forget what brittleness is!

In addition to the whitening effect and the ability to strengthen nails, lemon oil has a bactericidal property, and is also a good antiseptic.

This makes it possible to use it for small wounds, cracks and skin lesions, including inflammation that accompanies the formation of panaritium or ingrown nails. But you need to understand that such problems cannot be solved with lemon oil alone - they require surgical intervention!

Nails, like our body, love everything natural, so why not take care of them with all-natural products!
