Alexander Zavyalova: biography and cause of death of the Soviet actress. The tragedy of Sasha "Garbo." The life story of actress Alexandra Zavyalova The life and death of Alexandra Zavyalova

The star of the series "Shadows disappear at noon" was kept in a psychiatric hospital for two years

Fame came to Alexandra ZAVYALOVA after the role of Pistimea in the serial film "Shadows disappear at noon." Her non-Soviet beautiful face adorned the covers of Western magazines, critics predicted a stunning career, and men dreamed of looking at her live with at least one eye. But two years passed, and the actress stopped appearing on the screen. There were a lot of rumors about this, then they calmed down. Only one remained - Zavyalova went to the monastery and made a vow of silence. On the eve of her 75th birthday, which Alexandra Semenovna will celebrate on February 4, Express Newspaper managed to find one of the most mysterious actresses in Soviet cinema.

Telephone Alexandra Zavyalova  in her St. Petersburg apartment on the Vyborg side stubbornly did not answer. The light in the windows did not turn on, and the neighbors assured that Alexandra Semenovna had not been here for a long time - she copied the living space to her son Petya, who seemed to be working as a security guard.

Yes, here he is, ”they showed us at the approaching strong young man.

Ask my sister Tatyana all the questions about mom, she does it, ”Peter muttered and, holding out a piece of paper with his sister’s mobile phone, disappeared into the front door.

The eldest daughter Zavyalova, St. Petersburg artist Tatyana Buchkina, assured that Alexandra Semenovna does not live in the monastery, but in the country, but she can’t talk to reporters.

It's hard for her to talk. She has no teeth. We didn’t have time to insert it for the anniversary, ”Buchkina explained. - If you want to talk with your mom, you can do it on the Internet. She knows how to use. We are now slowly writing a book of her memoirs. Unfortunately, her memory is no longer the same; she already recalls some events with difficulty. My mother had a terrible depression due to the fact that she stopped filming. The success after the painting “Shadows disappear at noon” was overwhelming. But she was no longer offered the main roles. An actress with such an appearance was very difficult in Soviet times. By type, she is not a tractor driver, not a milkmaid, and not a production leader.

There was a way out for her: she had to agree to any work, but she did not do this, deciding that the supporting heroines were not for her. She found salvation for herself in motherhood. It seemed to her a very right thing. Once she went to her homeland, met there with some young handsome man and at 39 years old gave birth to Petya from him. She never saw Father Peter again. Petya does not remember his mother healthy. All the efforts to raise a child fell on my shoulders. Peter can be good and intelligent, but until he drinks. It is very unfortunate that at that time I was still a child and did not understand how to support her. My dad, a famous artist Dmitry Buchkin, also could not do anything. They maintained a good relationship, but they lived only two years. Now dad is 84 years old, I also help him. He will not tell you anything, except that he has a small pension.

My cinema scares me

Due to the lack of teeth, it is still difficult for Alexandra Zavyalova to talk, in addition, the actress is shy of her temporarily unpresentable appearance. But she enjoys using new technologies and loves the Internet. With it, we "talked."

- Alexandra Semenovna, how are you going to celebrate your birthday?

There will be no magnificent celebrations. Still, a woman about how old she is, it is better not to remember. And the line under my life, I still do not draw ... Let us gather in the circle of his family. I have two beautiful children - daughter Tatyana and son Peter. Tatyana gave me wonderful and beautiful grandchildren - Dmitry and Dasha. My daughter - well done, I achieved everything in my life myself, I couldn’t help her. Today Tatyana is an accomplished and sought-after artist-designer. How she manages to deal with children and her husband at the same time is a mystery to me. Unfortunately, I could never combine a family with a profession. Fortunately, no one has followed in my footsteps yet. I would not want this fate for my family.

- Your most striking role - Pistimea in the series "Shadows disappear at noon" ...

The role of Pistimeia is a great test of talent and personality. After all, I had to play three ages: at the beginning of the film of my Seraphim-Pistimey - 17, then I played a 40-year-old woman, and at the end of the film, make-up artists turned me into a 70-year-old. I have never associated myself with my heroines. She was just an artist, created an image and worked on the site with full dedication. I remember they shot the scene when Ustin Makarovich looks at Pistimea, 70, and she imagines she is the same, but young. Then they did two make-ups for me at once - for the old and the young. Returning to the hotel, I found that all the wrinkles were in place, they did not disappear in the morning. Urgent ran to the make-up artist shouting: “What have you done to me? Will I remain an old woman forever? ”

And in the film "Aleshkina Love" I played with Leonid Bykov. Leni's wife was terribly jealous of me. She even came to the shooting with her husband. But there was no reason for jealousy. Lenya was a very decent man and a wonderful family man. The film was a resounding success. At the presentation of the picture, the audience met us standing. But our "triumphal procession" ended in the fact that both of us were left without work. I don’t know what caused this in relation to Bykov, but at the last minute a phone call was surely heard and Lena reported that someone else had been approved for the role. Lenya complained to me: "There is nothing to feed the family." And he moved to Kiev. The last time we accidentally met with him at the Kiev film studio. Lenya said: “I nailed a horseshoe to the door jamb. Good luck. I will make a film myself and play a major role. ” And he shot an unusual, surprisingly warm movie "Only" old men "go into battle.

- How did you end up in a movie in Moscow?

I was invited Alexander Zarchi  in the film "People on the Bridge." He saw my photo on Mosfilm. At first I did not want to go: I do not like big cities, I am afraid of them. But he persuaded ...

At the dawn of your career, you served in the Brest Theater. How did relations with theaters develop further? There is no doubt that one of the artistic leaders wanted to get you on staff.

After the film "Aleshkina Love," the main director invited me to the Maly Theater Mikhail Tsarev. I have already handed over the documents to the personnel department and I even talked about this in the press. But soon an offer came from the film studio "Lenfilm" from the director Vladimir Shrenda  - to star in the film "Weekdays and Holidays." This is the first picture made according to the script of the writer Juliana Semenova.

In Leningrad, I met my future husband, an artist Dmitry Petrovich Buchkin. I stayed in this city and was accepted into the staff of the Lenfilm film studio.

You are a fantastically beautiful woman. It is clear that the actress must be attractive, but with such a unique beauty, what is it like to live?

I inherited the appearance from my parents. My dad is a brown-eyed, brown-eyed handsome man, and my mother is like a noblewoman: refined, her grandmother is Greek. And I turned out so ... Islamic. Beauty helps not only in the acting profession, but also in life: it is like a medicine. In my opinion, an actress with both talent and beauty is a rarity. I had enough admirers not only among actors and directors, but also among writers, poets and artists. I still have a book signed by the poet Rasul Gamzatov: “To my independent republic - Zavyalova,” and Kaysyn Kuliev  wrote: “If people did not come up with God, I would pray for you!”

But I thought that so far I hadn’t done anything in the profession, so the men went by the wayside. And then I had a family, a daughter was born ... What kind of fans are there!

Your photo was published on the covers of the most prestigious American magazines. Surely an actress of this magnitude could be taken abroad. Have you ever considered going abroad?

At the time when I worked as an actress, any mention of a foreign country crossed out all further biography. And today, our actors in Hollywood are not waiting. Unfortunately, today's Russian cinema scares me. Especially the series cooked up in haste. And the complete absence of memorable faces.

- Alexandra Semenovna, there were conversations that you turned out to be objectionable to the authorities because of an affair with a foreigner.

The enemy was artificially made of me. Suffered for love. I have loved one man all my life, probably, therefore, I never married again. He was a foreigner. We met on a plane. It was an amazingly beautiful American. Tall, handsome ... I got sick of it, and he poured me Borjomi. The next morning at the hotel I leave my room - rested, fresh, in a snow-white suit. And nose to nose I run into him. He cannot take his eyes off. He asks me: “Are you Polish?”

We spoke German. I remembered him from school, and my friend knew six languages. Meetings began, walks along the promenade, nightly dinners in the restaurant to the sound of the surf ....

His name was Othello. Just like in Shakespeare! Othello Ceresolli. Former admiral of the US Navy, owner of a shipping company that supplied wheat to the Odessa port. He was twice as old as me, in America his wife was waiting for him. Othello said that she is very beautiful, but he loves me. If we had not suspected spies of all foreigners, I would have married him and left. However, at that time I knew that I could pay dearly for this connection, so I often took the familiar wife of the local prosecutor with me to meet with him. But it did not help.

Our romance lasted only two weeks. One morning people burst into the room and grabbed my Othello. It turns out that we were being followed, all conversations were recorded on a tape recorder ... They showed a bunch of photos in which we are together ... All this is scary. I don’t know who needed to separate us. When we parted, we both cried. Othello was immediately declared persona non grata and was not even allowed to fly to New York via Paris as he was about to. He had to trudge across the ocean on his own ship. I didn’t hide anything from my husband. She honestly said that she fell in love with another.

- Do you think that because of your romance with a foreigner you stopped making films in the movies?

I think I got in the way of someone. Someone did not like my talent, my independence. And you know - there are such unfortunate fates ... Just once, the telephone was silent, which until that moment had been torn without interruption. I will not hide, for me it was unexpected and unusual. All the doors in front of me were immediately closed. I was held in a psychiatric hospital for two years. What I suffered there is scary to remember. I was not allowed to sleep. They made an injection with sleeping pills, and then woke them up. Children were not allowed to come to me. I screamed, begged, but they closed the doors. The profession of the actress, who was the meaning of my whole life and to which I wanted to devote my whole life, was interrupted. I experienced a difficult period of oblivion. I will not hide, it was difficult. Today I put up with the fact that I’m not acting, although it’s difficult. It’s a pity ... I didn’t reveal myself at all. All my life I dreamed of starring in a costumed, historical film, in a fairy tale.

I sometimes dream of a movie set with spotlights aimed directly at me ...

And it's all about her

Vladimir KRASNOPOLSKY, second director of the film “Shadows disappear at noon”:

- The film "Shadows disappear at noon" we shot in the Urals for a whole year and a half. Sasha was amazingly able-bodied. She knew very well what she wanted. She entered the role so much that if she bit in the frame, she bit to the blood, if she loved, to tears, and reproached so that she wanted to fall through the ground. Sasha, even when she was silent in the frame, was irresistible. Without uttering a word, she could express both hatred and boundless tenderness. Sasha gave a lot to her heroine. I think that because of this her consciousness did not survive then ordinary everyday troubles. There was always something surreal demonic in the beauty of this woman.

Evgeny LEONOV-GLADYSHEV, President of the Screen Actors Guild of St. Petersburg:

  - Alexandra Semenovna, unfortunately, has a serious illness. When relapse begins, it disappears for six to eight months, sometimes for a year. I’m sure that the KGB is still watching her ... Somehow, we decided to give her a creative evening at the Cinema House. A full hall of people gathered, but she did not come. Once I scolded her son: why don’t you help mom, she sometimes sometimes simply goes hungry. He was silent. This is a strange young man without certain occupations ...

I am sorry to tears for Alexandra Semenovna: her talent, like the Northern Lights, blazed brightly, but not for long.

At the age of 22, she graduated from the Theater Institute in Leningrad. Alexandra played her first role as a student. The film was called "Song of Koltsov" (1959). The girl played the beloved of the poet - the serf girl Dunya. She coped with the role very well, but after graduating from the distribution institute, she ended up in the theater of the city of Brest. There were offers to act in films, but Zavyalova believed that her vocation was not a film set, but a stage. However, when director Alexander Zarha offered her the main role in the film "People on the Bridge", Alexander Zavyalova (photo below) did not refuse.

Such famous actresses as Isolda Izvitskaya, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Iya Arepina could star in this role. But they chose Alexander Zavyalova for filming. Her partner in the film was actor Leonid Bykov. The gentle and touching love story of Alexei impressed the audience. The actress showed how the ordinary girl Zina is changing for the better, who at the end of the film was able to appreciate the beauty of the feelings of a young man in love.

"Shadows disappear at noon"

Alexandra Zavyalova was 35 years old when she got auditioned in the aforementioned film. The directors of the picture were struck by her beauty and the special magnetism that her eyes radiated. Many talented actresses dreamed of playing it. But for this role, an actress with a special inner strength was needed with external softness and charm. Indeed, in the film it was necessary to show the three ages of the main character: a very young girl, a middle-aged woman and an elderly woman. From the actress, this role required incredible efforts and complete dedication.

Despite the fact that Alexandra Zavyalova played a negative character, it was impossible not to admire her game. Having played the enemy of the Soviet regime, she won the love of a huge audience. How could this be? The fact is that the actress managed to show the main thing - the life and formation of a person. And she did it brilliantly. But despite this, after the film "Shadows disappear at noon," the actress was not invited to appear. Her last role is in the film White Clothes (1992).

Alexandra Zavyalova: personal life

Despite the huge number of fans, there was only one official marriage in her life. They met their future husband, artist Dmitry Buchkin, when Alexandra was still studying at the theater institute. He immediately lost his head, and indeed there was reason to lose her. What is she? The girl was accustomed to admiration and attention and did not attach special importance to their acquaintance.

Dmitry Buchkin painted portraits of the impregnable beauty, gave flowers and beautifully looked after. Behind the shoulders of Alexandra Zavyalova there were already roles in several films, so it was difficult to surprise her with signs of attention. Nevertheless, Alexandra appreciated the reliability and devotion of Dmitry, and a few years after they met, they got married. In the marriage, a daughter, Tatyana, was born.

Acting fame and popularity, as well as numerous fans did not allow this wonderful couple to enjoy family life for a long time. Alexandra soon became interested in another man, her husband did not forgive her for treason, and they divorced. But Dmitry could not forget about his windy beauty and loved her all his life.

Fatal meeting

Perhaps if it had not happened in the life of the actress of this acquaintance, everything would have been different. But fate has plans for each of us. The American businessman, the owner of a large production, and the Soviet movie star met and fell in love with each other. He was a tall, handsome man. Despite the fact that he was married, a meeting with a Russian beauty turned his whole life upside down. He was ready for her, even to divorce his wife. True love, besides mutual, which is not so often found in life, could illuminate their whole life with their own light and give happiness.

Had this happened in the 21st century, Alexandra Zavyalova could have gone to America and, perhaps, would have become a Hollywood star. In any case, the actress had all the necessary data for this. But in the 60-70 years of the twentieth century, everything happened differently.

The Soviet intelligence agencies sent the American out of the country. And for Alexandra Zavyalova, star life ended, and the path to oblivion began. She was no longer invited to act in films, fans disappeared somewhere. She was waiting for terrible depression, treatment in a psychiatric hospital and life on the verge of poverty. Fortunately for Alexandra Zavyalova, all these years, her ex-husband, Dmitry Buchkin, was with her. He even adopted her second child. The children of Alexandra Zavyalova are daughter Tatyana and son Peter, whom she gave birth at the age of about forty years. There is no information about the boy’s father, the actress did not want to make this information publicly known.

Alexandra Zavyalova: cause of death

In 2016, the day before the actress's birthday, a terrible tragedy occurred. Alexandra Zavyalova lived with her son, who had big problems with alcohol. He could drink for several days, in a state of intoxication he did not control himself at all. Another drunken spree ended in the fact that he stabbed his mother. After the wounds received, the woman died.

People who knew Peter say that it was a terrible and absurd accident. Perhaps he dreamed something terrible, it is very difficult to judge about it now. Peter confessed to a crime and was taken into custody. But most of all he punished himself by killing his beloved mother. Relatives and friends say that they had a great relationship, they cared for each other. Alexandra Zavyalova hoped that she would be able to cure her son of addiction. Unfortunately, she was not able to do this.

In custody

It is very difficult to give an unambiguous answer to the question of who is to blame for the fact that the life of Alexandra Zavyalova happened this way and not otherwise. Perhaps if she was born at another time and in another country, her fate would be happier. But no one will ever know about this. It is good that the audience has the opportunity to watch and revise films with this amazingly beautiful and talented actress. Such Alexander Zavyalov will remain in the memory of fans of Soviet cinema.

The vivid roles of strong heroines instantly earned the fame of the “star” of Soviet cinema for Alexandra Zavyalova. The peak of her work was the role of the nun Pistimea in the epic "Shadows disappear at noon," and then the actress disappeared from the screens. The covert boycott announced by filmmakers and studios lasted for decades.

Already in old age, Zavyalova played in the film "White Clothes", but after oblivion again came. The tragic fate of the artist, who could not recover from creative isolation, ended no less sadly. She was killed on the eve of her birthday, and her own son was charged with the crime.

Childhood and youth

Alexandra Semenovna Zavyalova was born in 1936 in a family of peasants from the village of Titovka in the Tambov Region. Date of birth - February 4. The girl studied medium, could miss a lesson or not do homework. As the fellow countrymen of the future artist recall in the documentary film “Alexander Zavyalov. The Hermit ”(TVC), Sasha was“ fighting, with a blast ”.

Already in school years she participated with pleasure in productions, concerts, performances, read poetry and, telling stories, showed them in faces. Many classmates liked the girl, but the boys were afraid to approach her.

After graduating from school, the girl moved to Leningrad and entered the theater institute (later renamed LGITMiK). Studying here, she does not think of herself as a movie actress - she is attracted to work on the stage. And when, according to the distribution, she gets service in the Brest Drama Theater, Zavyalova is pleased with the twist of fate.

Movies

Playing in the theater, the actress rejects offers to act in films. But director Alexander Zarha manages to persuade the artist: in independent Alexander, the filmmaker sees the wayward Lena, the heroine of his upcoming film "People on the Bridge." And for sure: Zavyalova, who flew to the shooting in Krasnoyarsk, so successfully falls into the image that scriptwriter Sergey Antonov arrives in Siberia after her, having seen the footage. Later, he will recall that the heroine embodied by Zavyalova was livelier and more voluminous than the image he created.

Already in Moscow, Antonov acquaints Alexander with writers and film masters. Her fans become and. After their debut in 1959, filming proposals are strewed onto the 23-year-old actress as if from a cornucopia. In the same year he released “Song of Koltsov” - a biographical tape about the poet, where Zavyalova again got the main female role.

In 1960, the artist’s biography was replenished with three films at once, the most noticeable of which was Aleshkin’s Love. The melodrama, shot by two directors under the leadership, was watched by 24 million viewers. Alexandra Zavyalova, who starred in the film with the famous, turns into a star of Soviet cinema.

Her face does not leave the covers of magazines and front pages of newspapers. The actress is shot by the photographer of the American Life, working only with heads of state and Hollywood artists. Photoshoot is held in one of the rooms of the National Hotel. During the film festival in Moscow, she is invited to a dinner party at the US Embassy.

Fro becomes the favorite role of the actress - the main character of the film of the same name Rezo Esadze. The basis of the script is the story. Unlike previous works, when Zavyalova got wayward, complex characters, she plays a tender, loving heroine in Esadze’s melodrama. For the sake of this role, Alexander agrees to become a blonde.

An affair with the director of the picture led to the fact that in 1967 Zavyalova appeared in his other film - the film "Four Pages of One Young Life." But the peak of a career is the multi-part picture "", showing the life of the people in the first half of the 20th century.

The game Zavyalova, who is invited to the role of Serafima Klychkova, impresses not only the creators of the film, but also the colleagues of the actress on the set. In an interview for the movie “The Hermit,” the artists say that Alexandra Semenovna did not play, but actually lived in front of the camera every episode.

At the same time, she managed to convey the nuances of age: in the first episodes, Seraphim appears as the 17-year-old heiress of the owner of Siberian mines, and during the film turns into a vicious, repulsive old nun.

After a resounding success, silence falls: Zavyalova suddenly finds herself in secret isolation. She is no longer offered roles, is not invited to social events. The artist is experiencing a severe crisis. Trying to get out of it, a few years later Zavyalova visits film studios, but no one gives a clear answer about the reason for the unspoken boycott.

Only 30 years later, when the artist is invited to a meeting with movie fans, she is noticed by director Leonid Belozorovich. The cinematographer includes Zavyalova in the cast of the upcoming film "White Clothes" with and in the lead roles. Alas, this return to the screen in 1992 is the last for the actress. More Alexandra Semenovna is not removed.

Personal life

Even during his studies at the institute, Alexander met his future spouse Dmitry Buchkin. The young man studied at the Art School named after V.I. Mukhina, where students of LGITMiK came to cultural events. In 1963, the couple marries, although Dmitry’s parents oppose his choice, anticipating future difficulties.

In the same year, the daughter of Tanya was born. Taking care of her, Alexandra pauses in her career. But already next year, she had an affair with Rezo Esadze. Zavyalova admits these feelings to her husband, and, despite her young daughter, the couple decides to divorce two years after the marriage is registered.

Relations with Esadze are just as short-lived. On the one hand, Zavyalova is not satisfied with her lover's jealousy, on the other, her daughter Tatyana refuses to perceive her mother’s new companion as a father. The couple is breaking up.

Zavyalova’s next novel is worth her career. A businessman from the United States who got her head around spent two weeks with the actress in Odessa. However, it is clear to both that the novel is doomed: Alexandra will not move to America, her chosen one will not remain in the USSR.

After the foreigner returns to their homeland, Zavyalova is summoned for questioning by the KGB, and after that they establish surveillance. Accidentally or not, the stream of proposals for filming runs out after interrogation by law enforcement agencies.

In 1976, Alexandra was born the son of Peter. Who is the father of the child, the actress is not recognized by either journalists or relatives. In the 90s, Tatyana became mother - Zavyalova's grandson Dmitry and granddaughter Darina appeared. And in the last years of the actress's life, the great-granddaughter of Alexandra, named Anna, is born in Dmitry's family.

In St. Petersburg, they said goodbye to the famous actress, the star of the series "Shadows disappear at noon," Alexandra Zavyalova. A woman of rare beauty, in recent years she hasn’t acted anywhere, hasn’t communicated with colleagues, and has led an extremely secluded lifestyle. And only now, after the tragic death of the artist, it became clear how hard she had to. At the funeral in the Smolensk cemetery, there was no son of Zavyalova, Peter. The investigation believes that it was he who killed his mother on the eve of her 80th birthday.

In a high-rise building in one of the sleeping areas of St. Petersburg, Honored Artist of Russia Alexandra Zavyalova has lived most of her life since the 68th year. Together with her son, the actress huddled in a close "kopeck piece" on the second floor. Neighbors say: she led a secluded, hermitic lifestyle, had little contact with people. But no one remembers conflicts in the family.

Honored Artist of Russia eschewed publicity. She often walked alone and hardly spoke to anyone. Together with their son Peter, they were rarely seen at all. The man, neighbors say, didn’t work anywhere and never got his own family. The mother was mainly looked after by the eldest daughter.

“She sometimes went out for a walk, as all pensioners go out for a walk. And about Petya I can say that he was a decent person, and what I drank, what should I do! I was good, he is not an addict,” the woman says.

It was Peter Zavyalov who called his sister on the night of the tragedy and confessed to a terrible act. This happened a day before the anniversary of the actress. Fourth - would have turned 80.

“According to investigators, at night on February 3, 2016, while intoxicated in one of the apartments of house 6 on Gavrskaya Street, he stabbed his mother, Alexandra Zavyalova, born in 1936, Honored Artist of Russia, on the basis of a sudden personal hostile relationship who died at the scene of the incident, "said Sergei Kapitonov, senior assistant to the head of the GSU SK in St. Petersburg.

A graduate of the Leningrad Theater Institute, she began to act in films early. In the comedy Alyoshkina Love, Zinka is a cheerful switchman. Zavyalova’s painting partner was Leonid Bykov. Although the main role happened, of course, later. These are, in fact, two characters at once in one film. In the legendary "Shadows disappear at noon" she and still quite young Serafima Klychkova, and the unsociable, hiding under the assumed name recluse Pistimey Morozov. After this role, almost never appearing on the screen. She became a hostage to her talent, say those who worked with her.

“Sasha had eyes that spoke about the inner world of this woman. And therefore the role became not only externally, but internally, it was interesting to look at her. They did not just admire her beauty when she was dressed differently, or her anger. Admired skill, how she carried her image, "says director Vladimir Krasnopolsky.

After a resounding success, the directors stopped offering her roles. One of the possible reasons that turned away from a successful actress was a marriage with a major American businessman. He was suspected of espionage and expelled from the country. Long-term oblivion in the cinema, family failures - all this grew into a severe depression.

"I heard that she was often sick and was in hospitals, which she did not have very well with memory," said Eleanor Shashkova.

Peter, as law enforcement officers say, gave a confession. The family still does not believe that a man could consciously decide on this.

Peter Zavyalov is now in custody. Behind the ordinary wooden door of their apartment is silence. Images from the documentary of our colleagues are, in fact, one of the last appearances of the bright actress on the television screen. She plays with her great-granddaughter and seems a completely happy person. If not for the lines of Bella Akhmadulina, which the actress reads in half-turn in front of the window.

Alexandra Zavyalova is an actress whose name was widely known in the 60s. This beautiful woman was pleased to be photographed by both Soviet magazines and foreign ones. The directors offered Zavyalova exclusively leading roles. And then it all ended in one day and the artist disappeared from the screens forever. Why?

Alexander Zavyalov: biography. early years

Alexandra was born in February 1936 in the Tambov region. Almost nothing is known about her childhood, about the hobbies of the future actress. It is only known that in 1958 Alexandra Zavyalova graduated from the Leningrad Theater Institute and moved to Brest to work for distribution to the local theater. However, the young actress with an exotic appearance showed herself very well at the thesis “Marriage” and she regularly received offers about filming a movie.

Alexandra refused for a long time, because she wanted to focus only on her work in the theater. But in 1959, the actress could not resist and for the first time gave her consent to the shooting.

1959 films

Alexandra Zavyalova made her debut in the film “Song of Koltsov”, where she immediately got the main role.

In the center of the plot of the picture is a biography of the famous Russian poet Alexei Koltsov, or rather a segment of life that fits in the 30s. XIX century. Koltsov’s biography is noteworthy in that the poet devoted almost his entire life to entrepreneurship, continuing his family business (which is not typical for writers). The only outlet for Alexei was poetry and love for the serf girl, which was played by Alexander Zavyalova. But fate separated the main characters, Koltsov soon married an unloved woman, and after some time he died at the age of 33.

Immediately after the role of Dunya, the fatal beauty with tarry black hair was offered another major role in the drama People on the Bridge. The heroine of Zavyalova is the demolitionist Lena. The woman is bold, beautiful, with a certain past (the heroine has It attracts the attention of the young son (Oleg Tabakov) of the bridge construction manager (Vasily Merkuryev). This connection becomes Heroine Zavyalova turns into an evil genius for the intelligent Bulygin family. In the final picture Lena dies, saving other people's lives.

I must say that after the role of the temperamental Lena, the role of a “troubled” woman was assigned to the actress. And all her subsequent heroines were no less strong, attractive, but in some sense dangerous.

Films of the 1960s

Alexandra Zavyalova in the 60s was very popular. Largely due to the role of Zinka from the melodrama Aleshkina Love. Then the actress’s partner on the set was Leonid Bykov (“Only old people go into battle”). He played the very Alyoshka, who was crazy about the switchman Zinaida. Zavyalova in one of her few interviews recalled that the actor’s wife was very jealous of her and was constantly present on the set.

Still not to be jealous: the photos of Alexandra Zavyalova showed off not only on the covers of the Soviet Screen, but even in the American Life magazine. American journalists called the actress Soviet and Russian directors offered the artist exclusively leading roles.

In the 60s, films with the participation of Zavyalova came out such films as “Wait for letters” by Yu. Karasik, “Bread and Roses” by F. Filippov, “Fro” R. Esadze and many other paintings. The actress was invited to dinner parties at the US Embassy and entrusted her with the honorable mission of meeting foreign guests arriving at Soviet cultural events.

Recent film projects in the career of an actress

However, it was precisely the artist’s close contact with foreigners, as well as the interest that foreign media showed in her, played a fateful role in Alexandra’s fate.

In the 65s, the KGB began regularly calling Zavyalova for interrogation. A little later, the special services forbade the director of Lenfilm to film the actress in their paintings. But Alexandra Zavyalova did not despair and continued to cooperate with other film companies.

In the 70s. the artist played her last role in the movie - Pistimey Morozova. This image has become one of the most colorful in Soviet cinema. The real name of Pistimea is Serafima Klychkova. She is the heiress of a wealthy family who is forced to hide under a false name in the Siberian taiga.

In the film, the heroine Zavyalova demonized, because about the aristocrats in Soviet times they spoke either in any way, or badly. The artist tossed another “firewood into the fire”, masterfully performing her work, and on the screen in front of the viewer appeared the embodiment of evil. Given the label of "unreliability", which already prevailed over Alexandra, nothing good could be expected. The worst fears were justified: after the role of Pistimeya Zavyalova, they blocked the way to any Soviet cinema.

Alexandra Zavyalova: personal life

The only official husband of the actress is the artist Dmitry Buchkin. From him, Zavyalova had a daughter, Tatyana.

Alexandra Zavyalova is an actress with an unforgettable appearance. And it was beauty that played a cruel joke with a woman. In 1964, in Odessa, she met an American billionaire and accepted his courtship. Subsequently, the American was accused of espionage and expelled from the country, Zavyalova was forced to divorce Buchkin and was first questioned by the KGB.

After the path to the cinema for the actress was blocked, she gave birth to a second child and began to lead a secluded lifestyle. Since then, little is known about Alexander.
