Zoan types can talk to animals.

Myth: People who eat Zoan fruit can talk to animals.
Fact: Although this rumor is not popular, some people still believe that those who eat the Zoan fruit can talk to animals. This bug occurs because Chopper can talk to both humans and animals. But the real reason is that he was an animal before he ate the fruit, and that's why he can talk to them.

Buster Call - Death Star.

Myth: Buster Call attacks with laser beams
Fact: Fans like to make wild predictions and hopes that Buster Call is a huge and scary Death Star-like ship, packed with lasers that could blow up the island like the Death Star blows up Alderaan. Chapter 396 proves this wrong. Buster Call is a military operation involving a fleet of World Government ships, led by five Vice Admirals, whose mission is to bombard the island until everything is burned to the ground.

Long Nose Usopp

Myth: Usopp's nose serves as a sight, helping him lock onto his target and get the perfect shot!

Myth: Character X loves character Y.
Fact: Couples like Luffy + Nami are often hinted at, however, some fans try to turn speculation into fact when it is not. When asked by SBS if there would be romance in One Piece, Oda replied that "they love adventure." There are no hints about this directly in the manga. However, fans of any series take even the smallest details as a hint. But remember: One Piece is not a shoujo, so don't expect much romance.
The only love story in One Piece currently introduced by Oda after 11 years is Hancock's feelings for Luffy. However, her feelings are not mutual (at least not yet) and we can only wait to see what Oda is up to and where all this will lead.

Buggy scarred Shanks.

Myth: This is obvious since he says "Wind Blast" in Log Town and also caused the lightning strike that saved Luffy, so Dragon has the power of a Devil Fruit, wind logia, or weather control paramecia.
Fact: Dragon didn't say "Wind Blast" in the manga, it was added in the anime. There is also no evidence that he was the one who caused the lightning. We don't know anything about its power yet, although anything is possible.

Comparison of Oda characters.

Myth: Oda created the character X from One Piece based on another character from another work.
Fact: While some characters, such as Django, clearly have some origin, others are not as easily comparable. If you really want, you can compare each character to someone else. Fake awards

Myth: The reward for Mihawk is 600,000,000, for Shanks 700,000,000.
Fact: If Oda announces a reward, it will appear directly in the manga on a wanted poster or in the character information window. In addition, only SBS can present the award quantity and rating. The confirmed reward will also appear in upcoming chapters of Grand Line Times.

These famous bounty rumors were made by fans, mainly due to people who created fan fliers with bounty characters, as well as rumor speculation or due to fan fiction. There are many fans who believe them, however, they are not true. Other common rewards are for Whitebeard, worth 1 billion, and Gold Roger, worth 1.2 billion.
In addition to this, due to a fake spoiler for Chapter 441, there was a mention of a reward for Ace in the amount of 400 million. This fake spoiler stated that the total bounty for Luffy and Ace was 700 million. The exact amount for Ace's head was not stated; however, at that time everyone knew that the bounty on Luffy was 300 million. So this meant that Ace's head was worth 400 million according to the fake spoiler.
The fake Thriller Bark arc spoiler included a bounty of 370 million for Gekko Moria. The information was false, the real reward is 320 million. Another fake reported that the reward for Mihawk was 540,000,000 and Whitebeard was 120,000,000,000. Another reward for Dragon was 500,000,000.

Shichibukai and their teams.

Myth: When a pirate achieves the rank of Shichibukai, he must disband his crew.
Fact: This is absolutely false! Oda never stated this in either the manga or SBS. It is unclear how this appeared in the English translation. There are currently three theories as to how this happened, one or all three of which may be the source of this myth:

1. A lot of English fans claimed that sometimes 4Kids did the wrong translation because they didn't watch the original Japanese version. The exact source of this rumor was never mentioned.
2. One source was to blame for how the Shichibukai were presented. Mihawk was shown without a crew, Arlong was shown separated from Jimbei's crew, and Crocodile did not have a pirate crew. Kuma and Doflamingo appeared alone at the Shichibukai/Marine meeting. Doflamingo later returns to punish Bellamy for disgracing his old flag. Combining all this, fans came to the conclusion that the Shichibukai had left their teams.
3. When asked where they learned this from, fans usually associate the information with Yosaku's description of the Shichibukai. This misunderstanding, however, is incorrect, as there is no such statement about the Shichibukai in Yosaku's story.

Since the World Government doesn't care what the Shichibukai do as long as they maintain balance in the world, it seems unlikely that they would mandate such a rule for the Shichibukai because they need them. So far, the only Shichibukai who is a loner is Mihawk. This is one of the most powerful myths among English fans. Even with new chapters being released and old ones being confirmed, the myth still exists.

Death of the Straw Hat

Myth: Oda stated that a team member would die!
Fact: Perhaps one of the most famous forum rumors. In 2003, Oda was alleged to have given his verbal word that a member of the Straw Hat crew would die. At that time, there were still episodes about Skypiea.
The story goes on (as veteran fans often say), but that never happened. Oda said that things didn't go as he planned. The team member who was supposed to die in 2003 was Going Merry, who had been through a lot. As Skypiea dragged on, Going Merry's death was delayed for 4 years while Oda completed the other arcs and finally continued the end of Merry storyline at the conclusion of the Enies Lobby arc.
Oda has stated many times over the years that the series lasted longer than he expected, as he planned to finish it in 5 years.

Translator jokes and fake spoilers

Norland - Dee.

Myth: His name is Montblanc D. Norland!!!
Fact: A joke that came from kaizoku-fansubs. Basically, they decided to do a stupid test to see what would happen. However, their joke has captured most of the fan community, and it will apparently take weeks to kill this myth. Meanwhile, it leaked to almost every forum (putting many people in an awkward position). His name is simply Montblanc Norland.

Aokiji, Ace and Blackbeard.

Myth: Ao Kiji will interrupt the two pirates' fight to ask what they are doing.
Fact: Between the end of the Enies Lobby arc and the beginning of the Thriller Bark arc, this rumor turned into a constant form of spoilers being released over the course of several weeks. In each case, the fake copied picture looked like the real thing. On the surface, all the fake spoilers said the same thing, but there were differences between the stories in each fake spoiler released. Aokiji was later shown with Garp aboard his ship, taking a ride to Marine headquarters while Blackbeard and Ace fought elsewhere.

Luffy is a Shichibukai.

Myth: Luffy's grandfather will offer him a place as one of the Shichibukai.
Fact: It's fake, just like the myth about Ace and Blackbeard. The place of one of the Shichibukai is offered by the World Government. Garp simply does not have the authority to grant him this position. This rumor originated from fan speculation as a reaction to the Chapter 472 spoiler. Myth: Frankie's father is Yonko.

After a few weeks, the hunger became unbearable, and a desperate Sanji decided to kill Zeff and take his food. To his surprise, an untouched bag was waiting for him on the other side of the island, and Zeff was missing one leg. There was gold in the bag.

But when Luffy and the crew, having overcome enormous difficulties, challenged the whole world for her sake, she decided to reject the past, all the betrayals, and join him. In addition to the abilities of the devil fruit she ate, Robin is incredibly smart, a master at obtaining the information she needs, insightful and balanced. This is especially expressed in his trademark demand that girls show him their panties (for which he received it from Nami at the first meeting).
Many years ago, Brook ate the Yomi-Yomi fruit. The only effect of the fruit was Brook's inability to swim, but after his entire crew and he were killed, Brook's soul, thanks to the fruit, returned back - he received a second life. However, while he was looking for a ship carried by currents in the mists of the Florian Triangle, his body completely decayed, leaving only a skeleton with an afro - his hairstyle remained due to the fact that, according to Brook himself, his hair always “had strong roots” .
Before his death, Brook was a musician in the Rumba Pirates, where there was a whole pirate ensemble. What is the "devil's fruit"?
